A line-up of Greyhounds taken at our recent Boot & Spring Fayre. From left to right: Freda with Lizzie & Sweetie; Kate with Sandy; Midge with his two girls; Chester and his new owner and Peter with Murphy. Greyhounds and Lurchers make wonderful pets and we almost always have them at the sanctuary. Please ring us on 01303 862622 if you can offer one a home.
The day of the Boot & Spring Fayre began with sunshine and was well supported, but by mid-day the showers came, the temperature dropped and the entertainment we were all looking forward to had to be cancelled. Our apologies go to the dancers who always put on such a lovely display and our thanks go to our helpers who work so hard to try and make these events happy and successful. Despite the weather we took just over £2,000 before expenses. We are hoping to hold an extra event in August to make up for the loss.
